We are coming to the end of another successful year of damage prevention. I can’t help but think and feel like this year just started.
2025 has been an eventful year at Tennessee 811. Ticket volume has increased from 2024, membership continues to grow, and our employees are more dedicated than ever to our purpose: customer experience.
We’ve reached the time of year when we meet with stakeholders to start discussing possible legislative changes. Although we feel like our damage prevention law is thorough, we certainly do not want to pass up the opportunity to make it better. We are currently vetting, with stakeholders and the enforcement board, some minor changes that will enhance the law. The next legislative session begins in January 2026.
I invite you to add the annual Damage Prevention Summit to your calendar for March 25-27, 2026, in Franklin, TN. It is a great opportunity to meet peers with a vested interest in damage prevention and to learn from industry experts on how to improve your own damage prevention efforts. Registration is open, and we’ll link to the dedicated event page from our website (www.tenn811.com).
I want to thank the Board of Directors for their dedication and loyalty to volunteer and participate on the Tennessee 811 Board. They are supportive and committed to both our mission and our purpose. To the employees at Tennessee 811, thank you for your passion for serving our customers with the utmost respect and courtesy – you are 811.
