Together in Safety,
Stronger in Collaboration

ACTS (Aligning Change to Succeed) formerly ESA (Excavation Safety Alliance) believes excavation safety and damage prevention solutions are possible only when everyone at the table is recognized as an important piece of the puzzle. Our mission is to provide the platform to help damage prevention professionals create and implement effective solutions based on mutual trust and respect for one another.

The excavator perspective... Who's going to get the job done, if we don't do it?

Excavators are clearly one group of stakeholders invited to the party early.  They weren't just driving around the area and thinking to themselves, "Hey, this looks like a good spot to dig."  They are digging because somebody contracted with the excavator to get in, get it done, get it done right then get out. Learn from these excavators what it takes to make that happen, what the obstacles are and what their role is in overcoming them.

This panel of experts includes Trey Crawford with Grady Crawford Construction, James Keith with T L Wallace, Roy Sachleben with Star Construction and Paula Guzman with Alpha Corporation.  Join us October 10 at 10:00am for this timely and informative Town Hall.

Creation of a Damage Prevention Professional designation/certification program help reduce damages?

Many professions require certification to be qualified to do the task. Once you are certified you need to meet some ongoing education requirements to stay current. Right now, there is no standard for a Damage Prevention Professional even though what they do may save lives and prevent major damages to cable & pipeline infrastructure. Alberta is changing all that by developing a certification program through Utility Safety Partners. This Town Hall will be focused on how this program can improve damage prevention, what should be included in the training, and how it can be rolled out globally. You voice needs to be heard.
