Quarterly Area Damage Prevention Meetings are one-hour, in-person sessions held in key regions across Alabama to support safer excavation practices and reduce utility damage. Led by Alabama 811’s damage prevention staff, these meetings provide timely insights, practical guidance, and an opportunity for collaboration among professionals who work around underground utilities.
Meetings are currently held in nine of the highest-volume areas across the state, with additional areas added as needed.

Each meeting is designed to be focused, efficient, and practical. Attendees can expect:

New this year, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) has approved one continuing education (CE) hour per meeting, adding additional value for attendees who need CE credit.
